Presentation of business goals in DCAR should contain the following information:
- Product and domain description (1-2 slides)
- Description of the business environment, history, market differentiators, current needs and how the proposed system will meet those needs/requirements (2-3 slides)
- Description of business constraints (1-3 slides)
- Time to market, customer expectations, standards to follow, budget, etc.
- Description of the techical constraints (1-3 slides)
- Used COTS, interoperation with other systems, required hardware or software platform, reuse of legacy code, backward compatibility, etc.
- Description of business goals (2-3 slides)
- For example, being the most environment friendly control system manufacturer in 5 years, taking Scrum in use, changing the selected technology gradually, etc.
- Most important quality attributes and which business needs are derived from these (1-2 slides)
- Performance, availability, security, modifiability, interoperability, integrability, etc
- Glossary (1 slide)
